Water: 

Water is a substance, that covers around 71% on earth. However 97% of water is salt water that found in oceans only 3% of water is fresh water among that 2.5 % of water is hard to access because it is locked up in glaciers, polar ice caps, atmosphere and soil or too far under the earth surface to access at an affordable cost. Only 0.5 % of water is available to us for our daily water supply needs. But, that water is polluting today and level of that fresh water is decreasing day by day.


Why Water Treatment is required?

Mixing of industrial, medical or domestic waste in water resources is the primary reason for the water pollution. So the quality of water will be vanished completely eventually the freshwater become waste water that contains harmful substances. It is a complex mixture containing suspended solids, organic and inorganic impurities, nutrients and disease-causing bacteria, and other microbes. So, when wastewater is discharged untreated into rivers or seas, it becomes dangerous for aquatic plants and animals. Therefore, it is necessary and our responsibility to treat sewage before disposing it off in a water body as it can cause harm to human and aquatic life which is not good for environment.

HARD WATER PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS   What is hard water? Hard water is a type of water that contains some minerals like magnesium and calcium. They may have small concentrations of ions such as Sodium, Chloride and Sulphate derived from wind action over the sea. According to the concentration of multivalent cations like calcium and magnesium available in water, hardness of water can be categorized into permanent hardness and temporary hardness.
